Minecraft fans rejoice! The upcoming Trails & Tales Update later this year will feature new experimental features and exciting additions, and one of them is the highly anticipated Armor Trims. Minecraft Preview 1.19.80.21 brings a sneak peek into what players can expect from this update. Here's a closer look at what's coming up:

  1. Armor Trims - Customize Your Armor

Now you can make your armor stylish and unique with Armor Trims. Using a variety of templates, found throughout the world, you can dye and apply different trims to your helmet, leggings, chest plate, or boots. These purely visual trims have no gameplay benefits but add a personal touch to your armor. Smithing Templates for Armor Trims are available in various structures like Pillager Outposts, Jungle Temples, and Ocean Monuments. Some templates are rarer than others, so keep your eyes peeled!

  1. New Blocks & Mobs

The Suspicious Gravel block, the newest addition to Minecraft, is included in this update. The Piglin Head Block now has ears that flap when you ride a vehicle, and Frogs born in the Cherry Grove biome will now be of the temperate variant.

  1. Netherite Upgrade & Smithing Templates

Crafting Netherite equipment now requires a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, which can be found randomly in all Bastion Remnant chests. The new Smithing Tables allow players to upgrade their equipment and modify it with Smithing Templates, which define the type of upgrade and which materials can be used. There are two categories of Smithing Templates: Armor Trim and Netherite Upgrade. Smithing Templates are consumed once used in upgrading equipment.

  1. Bug Fixes & Accessibility Features

This update also includes several bug fixes, including fixing the experience orb position desync after teleporting and the issue of players loading incorrect data when loading a local game after connecting to a server or Realm. In addition, potions no longer have an enchantment glint, and their colors have been adjusted for better visibility. The default visibility of the glint on enchanted items has also been decreased and can now be modified in Accessibility Settings.

In conclusion, Minecraft Preview 1.19.80.21 teases some exciting additions that players can look forward to in the Trails & Tales Update. With new Armor Trims, blocks, mobs, Netherite upgrades, and Smithing Templates, the game is set to be more customizable and personalized than ever before.
